MAT 192 - Cryptography

 This course covers both the encryption and decoding of information which for various reasons must be restricted.  Applications include wartime communications, internet commerce and banking transactions, and many others. The history of this science of intrigue will be studied, as well as prime number theory and modular math which underlie modern asymmetric coding technique.
Credits: Prerequisite: MAT 050, Introduction to Algebra or placement test
